How to Choose Resistance Bands for Glute Training

Fabric, latex, long bands, and mini bands do different jobs. Here is what to buy first, and what the affiliate links on this site do and do not mean.

Buy for the exercise, not for the color

A mini band is the first useful purchase for clamshells and lateral walks. A longer fabric band is better for kickbacks and assisted or resisted squats because it lies flatter and usually feels kinder on the skin.

Three tensions are enough. If you cannot finish 12 clean reps, the band is too much, even if the package says it is for beginners.

About our product links

Shop recommendations marked Affiliate send you to a retailer. If a partnership is active, All Cheeked Up may earn a commission. The price you pay does not go up because of that. Reference prices on our pages are for comparison. The retailer sets the real one.

We would rather you get a boring band from a store you trust than a celebrity set you will not use. See the band set and the mini-band set, and read the affiliate disclosure.
